2010 Events & Activities

We are gearing up to celebrate Dieselbikes’ sixth year in operation and plan on expanding our events for 2010. This year will feature events hosted by Dieselbikes as well as increased participation at other New England events throughout the season. We plan on making 2010 a banner year for events and activities for this grassroots club and expect to fully enjoy every minute of it!

Below is our event schedule for the 2010 riding season. Some of these events Dieselbikes will host, others we are proud to sponsor and associate ourselves with. Click the links for more information regarding each of the events listed below.

The D-DAY Expo is an event that will showcase the latest products, technologies and services in the fast growing world of mountain biking and outdoor sports!  Our goal is to expose event attendees to everything that is mountain biking with an additional focus on other recreational activities in a fun and friendly outdoor atmosphere while we generate funds to support trail maintenance programs in Lynn Woods. 

Demo bikes, displays of the latest equipment, apparel and accessories all will be available for event attendees.  Speak directly with factory and local business representatives regarding their products and services.  Participate in contests, group rides and watch professional demonstrations throughout the event. 

The D-DAY Expo will have something for EVERYONE!

"Going into its 8th season, the Kona Bicycles-Fox Shox MTB Adventure Series gives you a chance to come experience some of the best mountain biking trails in New England with a fun and festive atmosphere. The events support good causes....and there's always a lot of fun to be had! Each Kona Bicycles-Fox Shox MTB Adventure Ride lets you to follow marked courses at your own pace. So whether, you're an advanced rider, someone just starting out, or you just like to ride new places, the series has something for you!"

2010 Mountain Bike Activities

Lynn Woods Trail Maintenance Series ~ Lynn Woods, MA

This will our 6 year of trail work at Lynn Woods and were are happy to do our part in supporting this great riding location.  We plan on hosting four individual trail work days listed below and will need help from the local riding community to get the job done. Please feel free to attend any or all of our trail days, we thank you for your support!

Trail Work Schedule:

TMP # 1: Espresso Trail Build Phase 3 - Saturday, April 24th [9:00am to 2:00pm]

TMP # 2: Ridge Run Trail Build Phase 3 - Sunday, May 9th [9:00am to 2:00pm]

TMP # 3: Wolf Pits Trail Re-route - Saturday, September 18th [9:00am to 2:00pm]

TMP # 4: Deep Woods Trail Bridge - Sunday, October 10th [9:00am to 2:00pm]

Tuesday Night Group Rides ~ Lynn Woods, MA

Tuesday night group rides are back for there 4 season!  This is a two hour ride that occurs every Tuesday evening and breaks up the work week with a post ride gathering at the Fat Cactus Mexicali Cantina Restaurant [Former Naked Fish].

Meeting time is between 5:45 and 6:00pm in the back of the restaurant's parking lot located at 215 Broadway [Route 1 North] Lynnfield, MA 01940.   Whether you are just a beginner or a weekend racer, it does not matter; you are more then welcome to join our group rides.  The # 1 rule is to have FUN!

Riders under 18 must be present with a parent or guardian and speak with the ride leader before they can go out with the group.

Event Cancellation: SRBP BIG Mountain Festival - ~ Sunday River Resort , ME

Dieselbikes is sorry to announce the Sunday River Big Mountain Festival slatted for the month of August has be cancelled.  Due to current exclusive corporate contracts, we are not going to be able to host a large scale mountain bike event this year!

10th Annual Wicked Ride of the East ~ Harold Parker State Park N. Andover, MA

Sunday October 25th, 2009

We were thrilled to be a part of the 10th Annual Wicked Ride of the East hosted by NSNEMBA on October 25th. Over 500 riders from all over New England arrived to show support for this organization and some of the trails we all love.

It could have not been a more perfect October day with the sun shining and temps in the mid 60s.

The "Spooktacular" Halloween Festival ~ Lynn Woods, MA

Saturday October 25th, 2008 – 9:30am-4:00pm

The "Spooktacular" Halloween Festival is a one-day event that will have something for everyone.  Group rides; costume contest and other family geared venues will provide a fun time for all who attend.  We are in the beginning phases for this event, so more information will be posted in the coming months.  This will be another large social event for the community, so mark your calendar and get ready for a spooky event!

D-Day The Second Drop Mountain Bike Event ~ Lynn Woods, MA

D-Day "The Second Drop" was a continuation of our past 2007 D-Day Event.  This event provided the mountain bike community a one-day experience to DEMO ride a ton of mountain bikes from various manufactures in Lynn Woods.  This event was for all riding levels and many different bikes were available test ride on sweet singletrack.  with family fun for all.  Check out the link below for more information.

D-Day Mountain Bike Event ~ Lynn Woods, MA

Sunday June 3rd, 2007

Our first ever mountain bike event was a complete success!  On Sunday June 3rd, Dieselbikes was proud to host a DEMO day mountain bike event in Lynn Woods (Lynn, MA) titled "D-DAY".  This event hosted 14 local bike shops and 5 manufacturer reps showcasing 2007 and some 2006 DEMO bikes for the general public to ride.  The weather was not the best with overcast skies, cool temperatures & the threat of heavy rain, but the event went off without a hitch.
